The International Etchells Class Association of Australia, Class President, Mark Roberts, has advised that the November 2020 World Championship in Fremantle has been rescheduled to November 2021. "While of course subject to what develops over the next 6 to 9 months with COVID-19, it is the current intention that the Perth Worlds will go ahead in late 2021. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide plenty of advance notice to our members to assist them in their planning."

On the summer ahead Roberts added: "we will hopefully kick of the Australian summer with the Queensland State Championships over the weekend of 30 October 2020 to be followed by the Australian Championships on the iconic waters of Sydney Harbour between 10 and 14 January 2021, and only a short time later the NSW State Championships. This will coincide with the newly created National Fleet Racing Championship League. The website for the new Championship League is nearly ready to go live and its looks pretty exciting."
