The off season has come and gone with little activity on the water in Gosford apart from those enthusiastic souls who turned out for the Yacht Club's winter series. Behind the scenes the Club has been working hard to drag itself into the 21st century with a completely new website which includes the facility for the individual divisions to quickly add and update their own content. The Etchells page can be found at the website link below. We have also moved from our home grown results system to using the Racemaster programme to enable the quicker calculation and publication of results.

Our fleet numbers have dropped by one with the imminent sale of Trekka (AUS1275) which leaves one spare space on the hardstand which hopefully will be filled in short order.

Racing recommenced on Saturday 29 August with two races, the first a very light North Easter followed by a blistering North Wester for the second. The wind continued to build during the late afternoon clocking 50 knots plus by the time the last boat was hauled out.

The fleet is looking forward to another good season of racing and we hope to have a large roll-up to the Lake for the Nationals in January and perhaps some will try their luck off-shore for the States in Sydney late in February.
