Going for Gold!

Blue Skies, even bluer water and those golden beaches. Got to be part of that

This year's Queensland State Championship is returning to the Gold Coast. Racing will be conducted at the same venue and on the same racetrack where the successful Australian title was held in November of 2013.

The good news is that many of the boats that competed in the recent Australasian Championship in Mooloolaba have been left in Brisbane and are expected to be sailing again in these championships.

The timing is also perfect for those crews who intend to be sailing in Hong Kong's 2015 World Championship. They will be able to refine their skills in the light and consistent conditions that could be expected there.

Importantly, Ross and Kevin Wilson will be returning as the Race Officers for the regatta, which will be held over the Labour Day long weekend in Queensland. Set aside October 3-5, 2015 for some great racing and fun.

This is arguably the best time of year to be on the Gold Coast, with warm 27°C days and steady 1215 knot Nor'easters breathing over the low Pacific swells. Check the Etchells Australia website for more details or call Greg Forgan-Smith on 0409 390 408.
